RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, AND ASSUMPTION OF RISKS

Acknowledgment and Assumption of Risks

While the Curious Goose Community Workshop staff and programs maintain strict safety guidelines and operating practices, I am aware that woodworking and crafting with sharp tools involve inherent risks, including but not limited to: serious and even fatal injury from the improper use of power tools (table saws, lathes, etc.); flying debris, long-term wood dust exposure, burns, and heavy lifting; and general workshop hazards including tripping or exposure to loud noises. 

By participating, I accept these risks, and I waive all claims against Curious Goose Community Workshop, Inc. and its staff ("Releasees") and release them from liability for loss, damage, or injury, including those caused by negligence. I agree to indemnify the Releasees from any third-party claims arising from my and/or my child's participation.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This agreement and any rights, duties, and obligations as between the parties shall be governed by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the Province of Nova Scotia and no other jurisdiction. Any litigation involving the parties to this agreement shall be brought solely within the Province of Nova Scotia.

Right to Amend and Update

The Organization reserves the right to amend, modify, or update the terms of this waiver at any time to comply with changes in provincial law, insurance requirements, or workshop safety protocols. Continued participation in workshop activities following any such updates shall constitute my acceptance of the revised terms.
